Scene of the Week: Lethal Weapon – Gibson vs. Busey
The 1980’s rocked so hard when it came to action movies that you could take a handful of mediocre films and they would still beat most of the crap that’s put out today. It’s sad that the biggest action stars that we have today are still a bunch of old dudes in their 50’s and 60’s and Jason Statham. Don’t get me wrong, I love every second of it but it would be nice to see some new blood. While I may have rambled a bit let’s get back to the the post. This week’s Scene of the Week is a classic fight scene between our good friend Mel Gibson and a favorite villain of mine Gary Busey. The entire Lethal Weapon series was filled with awesomeness and that is the reason why we recently voted Riggs and Murtaugh into our inaugural Hall of Fame class here at Bulletproof Action. If you haven’t seen the movie then I must tell you that this scene contains spoilers for the movie (no shit) so watch with care. But, if you have already seen it then let’s take a trip back down memory lane and watch this jiu-jitsu-filled slobberknocker between two 80’s action heavyweights. Happy Birthday Mel!
