Throwback Thursday: I miss the 80’s Part 1
The 1980’s were a great time for action movies. Cannon Films was pumping out revenge classics like there was no tomorrow and we witnessed the rise of action superstars like Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Jean Claude Van Damme. We all had our favorites growing up, of course. Mine was my main man Michael Dudikoff in the American Ninja franchise. I wish I still had some pictures of me running around the neighborhood fighting invisible ninjas with my plastic sword. We can’t go back and re-live those times. As much as I’d like to be a 31 year old man running around dressed as a ninja, I just can’t do it. Hell, the police would probably shoot me on sight if I was carrying around anything that resembled a sword these days. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t look back at all the great movies that came out of that era. Here are a few behind the scenes photos from some of the classic 80’s films. Enjoy!
John McClane learning how to kill a man.
Call me Snake too!
Indy and Marion cozying up on Raiders of the Lost Ark set.
Ripley firing off a flame thrower!
Ok, a terrible movie but Bizarro Superman was pretty cool in Superman 3.
He just wants his truck back!
Harrison Ford made so many good movies back then.
Arnold being dwarfed by Wilt Chamberlin and Andre the Giant on Conan The Destroyer set.
Michael Dudikoff and Steve James cuttin’ loose on set.
