Scene of the Week: Dead Alive aka Braindead
Before Peter Jackson made 700 trillion dollars with the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and The Hobbit franchise (my estimation could be off) he was making wickedly awesome and amazingly gory films in his home country of New Zealand. The scene below features probably the most bloody zombie confrontation in the history of cinema and I encourage any fan of the genre to watch the full-length feature as it’s not only bloody as shit but also very funny. Dead Alive was Jackson’s third film and to think that in less than a decade he would be making the first LOTR movie is pretty insane. If you’re into zombie stuff this is a must see and if you just like to watch super famous directors cover an entire room with blood and intestines then you should watch it immediately.
