Woman Crush Wednesday: Sarah Shahi
Sarah Shahi’s action resume is what we call in the business “legit as f*ck”. To an outsider she may appear just another pretty face (and a smoking hot body) but she has appeared in quite a few action-oriented projects throughout her career. So how does she fit into our NFL themed week you ask? Well cool your jets bro cause I’m going to tell you. Before Shahi lit up the screen in shows like Alias and Supernatural she was a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys. Despite not having any experience as a cheerleader she was able to snag the cover to the Cowboys cheerleaders calendar in 2000. An impressive feat no matter who you are.
Recently Shahi had an opportunity to act alongside one of the all time action greats Sylvester Stallone in the film Bullet to the Head. The beautiful Shahi took on the role of Sly’s daughter and the damsel in the distress for Stallone and his worthless partner but even her insane hotness couldn’t keep the film from being a steaming pile of dung. Even when she was interrupted in the bathtub and we got the all-too brief shot of her goods it was still surrounded by a film that lacked all of the things that make a good buddy-cop action flick. Sarah was by far the best part of the film and she was only in it for about 10 minutes.
Thank goodness Shahi didn’t play Sly’s love interest. That would have just been weird. He’s actually closer in age to Betty White than he is to Sarah.
If Shahi’s Persian descent tells me anything it is that someone needs to go back in time with a truckload of AK-47s and give them to the Persian King Xerxes for his invasion of Greece. Given two thousand years the entire planet could have been filled with crazy-hot Persian women like Sarah Shahi.
