Scene of the Week: Death Wishes Come True
It all started on July 24th, 1974… that is when Charles Bronson cemented his status as an action movie icon and the world was introduced to Bronson’s most iconic character, Paul Kersey, with the release of Death Wish.
The trailer for Death Wish featured a quote that could not have been more true, especially when the ultimate vigilante Paul Kersey was around…
“Never make a death wish, because a death wish always comes true.”
Over the course of two decades and five Death Wish movies dozens and dozens of creeps, lowlifes, scumbags, thugs and criminals found out just how true that statement was.
As we wrap up Revenge of Revenge Week here on Bulletproof Action, I decided to do something special with this week’s Scene of the Week and thanks to the fine folks over at Movie Body Counts (check out their YouTube channel!), we will relive each and every death depicted in the Death Wish series of films.
You’ll see a mugger become Paul Kersey’s first victim, you’ll see Kersey electrocute the man who raped his daughter, you’ll see Kersey shoot a man out the side of a building with a rocket launcher, you’ll even see Paul Kersey kill a man with a remote control soccer ball and so much more! Pay special attention to how the body count significantly multiplies in the greatest movie of all-time, Death Wish 3.
